Skillman Records Launches in New York with an Integrated Production and Global Release Framework

New York, NY — Skillman Records, a newly established independent record label focused on classical music and based in New York, today announced its launch alongside an integrated production and global release framework designed for classical and high-end audio-visual projects.

While newly formed as a label, Skillman Records builds on an existing production foundation and has already entered into partnerships with organizations including Young Concert Artists (YCA) and Musart School of Music, initiating artist signings and upcoming recording projects.

As a record label, Skillman Records operates with a production-led model, participating directly in the full lifecycle of a project—from recording through post-production to final release. This approach departs from traditional label structures in which production and release are often handled by separate entities.

The label’s workflow brings together audio recording, video production, post-production, and release preparation within a single coordinated environment. By consolidating these stages, projects are developed with a high degree of continuity, allowing them to approach release-ready quality early in the production process.

Production is supported by Skillman Music Recording Studio, a New York–based facility with experience in classical recording, concert film production, and commercial releases. The team’s work has included collaborations with institutions such as Lincoln Center, American Composers Orchestra, Albany Symphony Orchestra, American Ballet Theatre, and China Media Group (CCTV), among others.

In addition to production, Skillman Records provides comprehensive global release support, including digital distribution, metadata management, sync licensing, and long-term catalog oversight. Each project is structured from the outset to meet international release standards across major platforms.

With its launch, Skillman Records positions itself as a label focused on continuity between production and release, emphasizing consistency of sound, visual identity, and delivery across the entire lifecycle of a project.
