Lewis Fang

Lewis Fang began his musical journey at age four under the guidance of Ms. Tianying Zhao,

before continuing his studies with Dr. SunSung Kong and Dr. Eugene Skovorodnikov after

immigrating to Vancouver in 2015. After enrolling at Juilliard Pre-College, he studied under

Professor Matti Raekallio and subsequently under Professors Hung Kuan Chen and Tema

Blackstone. He holds a pre-college diploma in Piano Performance from the Juilliard School.

Lewis is a YoungArts winner with distinction and has won top prizes in numerous

international competitions, including the Szafarnia International Fryderyk Chopin Piano

Competition, Paderewski International Piano Competition, and the Canadian Music

Competition. He is a Chopin Foundation scholarship recipient, a member of the Back to Bach

Project, and an Artemisia Foundation Fellow.

He has been invited to perform with orchestras including the Città di Grosseto, the Bazzini

Consort Orchestra in Brescia, and the Encore Sinfonietta Vancouver Orchestra. He has

performed in venues including Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, New World Center, and the

Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center.
